YAMAHA BANSHEE CUSTOM CUT .015" BASE GASKET:
THIS BASE GASKET IS THINNER THAN THE STANDARD GASKET SIZES THAT ARE LISTED BELOW. THE .015" GASKET IS USED FOR TIGHTER SQUISH CLEARANCES AND HIGHER COMPRESSION WITHOUT CHANGING THE DOME SIZE OR SHAPE. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CLEARANCES ARE STILL WITHIN SPEC WHEN USING THIS GASKET AS ENGINE DAMAGE CAN OCCUR IF YOUR TOLERANCES ARE TO TIGHT.
This is a custom cut base gasket that fits cheetah cub cylinders. The transfer ports on this base gasket match the large transfer ports on the Cheetah cub cylinders. Most base gaskets will over hang into the transfer ports causing turbulence or disrupting the fuel flow. This is a high quality paper gasket .015" thick.
Stock stroke cub cylinders will use a .020" base gasket.
4 mill long rod cranks with 4 mil cub cylinders use a .020" base gasket.
10 mil cub cylinders also use a .020" base gasket.
THE .012" GASKET CAN BE USED WITH ANY OF THE ABOVE COMBINATIONS AS LONG AS THE MINIMUM SQUISH CLEARANCES ARE STILL ACHIEVED.
This base gasket is not just for aftermarket cylinders it will fit any stock cylinder that has had the transfer ports opened larger.
